Advent Week 2: Psalm 80-2

This morning, the psalmist prays about the crises in our lives and faith given to us by God’s grace.

We have now become the LORD’s people, and it is our covenantal responsibility to live a new life in a new land free of our sinfulness and slaveness. Yet we cannot escape from our sinful foolishness and keep making the same mistake. Now we are waiting for our LORD who will end this chronic stupidity and sinfulness once and for all, and completely. So let us have some time this week to repent our sinfulness. The tribulations brought by the pandemic may also be disasters caused by our own sinfulness and greed as we fail to properly and responsibly take care of this land as servants of the LORD.

This morning, I hope you can reflect on, and also live out, the purpose of coming of Christ.
